Who We Are

“Work Hard, Be Nice”

Those are the words emblazoned on the centerpiece sign hanging in our office. We set a high bar for quality, and are regarded for our high-end work. We like to think of ourselves as the artisan cheesemakers of motion design (minus the pretense). Of equal importance are the genuine relationships we foster with the people we work with, from clients to freelancers. If that all sounds old fashioned, feel free to think of us as the friendly advertising pros swaying in our front-porch rocking chairs, waving at neighbors, and offering our guests a cold glass of homemade lemonade.

Our Team

  • Mike Kellogg
    Animation Lead & Co-Founder

Mike is the technological heart and soul of Invisible Ink. Born in a small town outside Chicago, Mike grew up navigating both the cornfields of Illinois and the castles of Super Mario Bros. He got his start as a creative developer in Los Angeles, where he created websites for Hollywood blockbusters. After venturing out on his own, Mike crafted content for household brands such as Nintendo, Sprint, and Adobe, and racked up numerous awards along the way. In 2011, he founded Invisible Ink with wife Mia, and today, oversees all of the studio's animation. When not cutting up complex 2D characters to animate, he's usually digging into the latest design tool, pulling funny faces at company meetings, or building Tinkertoy-based gadgets with his son, Sam.

  • Mia Kellogg
    Managing Director & Co-Founder

Mia is Invisible Ink's visionary, combining decades of ad world savvy with a lifetime appreciation for the arts. Prior to co-founding Invisible Ink, she fell in love with advertising after snagging a degree in Art Direction, and serving as a producer at prominent agencies such as Goodby Silverstein & Partners. Yet, before all of the product launches and rebranding initiatives, Mia was steeped in the fine arts, and could often be found perched on 20-foot scaffolding in paint-splattered overalls, teaching kids how to paint murals. Today, when not mentoring a budding producer or teaching her toddler son how to draw, she's likely grilling up a BBQ spread for her extended family.
